We are delighted to welcome you to the official website for the 21st Annual Conference of the European Society for Textual Scholarship (ESTS 2026). This landmark edition marks the first ESTS conference to be held in Poland, promising to bring fresh perspectives to our scholarly community.
The conference theme, “Edition and Interpretation”, invites us to explore the dynamic relationship between editorial practice and textual interpretation. We seek to examine how editorial decisions fundamentally shape textual understanding, and conversely, how interpretative frameworks inform editorial methodology. This dialogue between editing and interpreting promises to generate vital new insights for textual scholarship across all disciplines.
We look forward to welcoming you to Lublin for what promises to be a stimulating and memorable conference in textual scholarship.
